To convert 3GP, 3GPP, or 3G2 to MP4, MOV, AVI, WebM, MP3, and more, or put it the other way around, please free downloadfree download and install the 3GP video converter on your PC.
Step 1. Import Target Video File(s)
Launch the software and click on "Converter". Then, click "Add Files" on the top left corner to import the 3GP/3GPP/3G2 file you want to convert, or add a regular video you want to convert to 3GP. You can also directly drag multiple videos into the interface for batch conversion.

Step 2. Choose a Needed Video Format
Hit the format image on the right of the window and you can see a list of output formats. Go to "Video" and choose a desire video format. If you only want the sound from a 3GPP/3GP recording, go to "Audio" and choose an audio format.
Open the "Parameter Settings" panel to modify video and audio parameters, including resolution, aspect ratio, frame rate, bit rate, channels, sample rate, and encoders. For old 3GP footage, avoid blindly raising resolution or bitrate too much, as it will enlarge the file without creating real detail.

Step 3. Initiate the Conversion
Hit the inverted triangle button on the bottom portion of the interface and designate a place for saving the converted files. Since all are set up, click "Run" to start the conversion process. After it finishes, open the output folder and check whether the new file plays properly on your target device or app.

Which Output Format Should You Choose?
Different 3GP-related tasks do not need separate complicated workflows. The steps above are the same; only the output profile changes. Here is a practical way to decide:
3GP/3GPP/3G2 to MP4: Choose MP4 when you want the safest format for phones, Windows, macOS, smart TVs, social platforms, and most media players. MP4 is usually the best first choice for old mobile videos.
3GP to MOV: Choose MOV when you plan to open the file in QuickTime or import it into an editor that works better with MOV. Keep in mind that converting an old low-resolution 3GP file to MOV will improve compatibility, not magically improve the original quality.
3GP to AVI: Choose AVI only when a specific old device, player, or workflow asks for it. For most modern uses, MP4 is more convenient.
3GP to WebM: Choose WebM when you need a web-friendly file for HTML5 playback or online sharing. WebM commonly uses VP8, VP9, or AV1 codecs and is well supported by modern browsers.
3GPP/3GP to MP3: Choose MP3 when the video image is not important and you only want to extract speech, ringtone audio, voice memos, or music from the mobile recording. In the audio settings, you can adjust bitrate, sample rate, channels, and volume if needed.
Video to 3GP: Choose 3GP only for legacy mobile phones or special low-bandwidth situations. For normal sharing today, MP4 is usually a better option.
