Launch the software. Click Converter and import MKV files. To do this, you can clickthe Add Files button or directly drag and drop the files into the program.

In order to avoid re-encoding, you should select MKV as the output format. Click the "Click to change output format" area on the right side of the converter and select MKV under the Video tab.

Launch the metadata editor first on your PC. Click the Open… button on the top left corner of the main interface. Browse your computer to add your MKV files.

Double-click the imported file in the file area. A new dialog will appear to display the media information. You are able to edit the basic information and other metadata mentioned above.

When the editing is done, click the Save button at the bottom of the editing dialog. Now, the metadata is edited. You can view the edited information in the metadata editor or other third-party tools, such as MediaInfo.
