How to Zoom in VLC Media PlayerBefore we get started, make sure you've installed or updated VLC to the latest version.
Step 1. Open VLC Media Player, go to Media > Open File to play a video file, or directly drag the video into VLC interface.
Step 2. On the menu bar, navigate to Tools > Effects and Filters.

The Video Recorded with 90-degree RotationActually, the root cause of the problem is derived from specific videos themselves. Some videos inherently come with a 90° rotation parameter, especially for those videos recorded by smartphone or other portable devices. You can analyze and find this information using MediaInfo. If you play this video in Windows Media Player, you'll find it plays upside down. VLC can read the rotation parameter and rotate the video automatically, but the interactive zoom won't move because of it. So the solution is that, VLC Media Player zoom feature will work as soon as the parameter is removed.
