Method 2. Change Your DVD Player Region from Device Manager

Many newer model laptops allow you to set its DVD drive to play discs from a customized region. Follow the tutorial below and see if your laptop suits the case. The tutorial is based off Windows 10/8/7, the processes for other operating systems go with the same principle but might vary in the specific operation.

Step 1. Press on your laptop’s keyboard the Windows key + R to open the Run box. Type in devmgmt.msc exactly and press Enter.

Step 2. Expand DVD/CD-ROM drives. Right-click on your DVD player and then select Properties.

Step 3. Click on the DVD Region tab. Select the region you want to change to and click OK.
