Sharing a Facebook video via email is still a common need—whether you want to send something to someone who doesn’t use Facebook, or just make sure they don’t miss it. The good news: it’s simple. The better news: there are multiple ways depending on your situation. Let's jump in.
A great number of photos and videos are published and shared on Facebook every day. Yes, when we upload a home-made record clip or find some interesting videos, we also share them on our timeline. However, friends can't keep an eye on their news feeds and may miss the important video we share. In this case, we can choose to email a Facebook video to their Facebook messengers or share on friend's timeline. The steps are very simple. See below.
How to Email a Facebook VideoThis is the fastest and safest method because Facebook videos are web-based content.
Step 1: Open Facebook and find the video
Step 2: Click the video to open it fully
Step 3: Click the three dots (...) or Share button
Step 4: Select Copy link
Step 5: Paste the link into your email, add a message (optional), and send
If the recipient says they can’t open the video, it’s usually due to privacy settings. Make sure the video is set to Public or Friends (if applicable).
If the recipient doesn’t use Facebook or you need an offline copy, you can download the Facebook video to your computer or save it to USB using a handy Facebook video downloader e.g. WonderFox HD Video Converter Factory Pro ( click to downloadclick to download), then send digital video files as attachment.
How to Send a Facebook VideoHere's the simple steps:
Step 1: Find the Facebook video you want to share.
Step 2: Copy its URL from the browser.
Step 3: Launch the software and open Downloader.
Step 4: Click New Download and paste the video link for analyzing.
Step 5: Download the video.
Step 6: Attach it to an email.
Step 7: Send.
Most email providers limit attachments to ~20–25 MB. So this method only works for short or compressed videos.
If the video file is too large, you are able to:
Step 1: Upload the video to a cloud service (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox)
Step 2: Generate a shareable link
Step 3: Paste that link into your email
This avoids email size limits and is much more reliable for HD videos.
