Nowadays, people often shoot memorable videos to record their life. In many cases the video is not coherent, but saved in multiple MP4 segments. Therefore, it's a common need for people to concatenate MP4 files to make a full-length video and reduce cluttered folders.
However, for those who have little knowledge about video editing, some advanced video processors and editors like FFmpeg, Premiere just laugh at them and kick sand in their faces. Given this, I'll recommend a simple program that helps concatenate MP4 files with great ease.
Fed up with esoteric hotkeys, crabbed command lines and overcomplicated software GUI? Well, now never mind, HD Video Converter Factory Pro, equipped with a suite of independent modules, is developed to simplify the video editing and processing work, which will definitely break the established stereotypes. The intuitive GUI and straightforward layout make it easier than ever to concatenate MP4 files.
Once the HD Video Converter Factory Pro is installed and launchedinstalled and launched, open "Converter" among five main modules ("Converter", "Downloader", "Recorder", "GIF Maker" and "Toolbox"). First of all, click "Add Files" or "Add Video Folder" button to import all the MP4 video files you want to concatenate. Alternatively, just drag and drop the MP4 videos to the interface. All of them will be listed in the workplace with basic information.
Note: Actually, apart from MP4 format, it supports nearly all common video formats like MKV, AVI, MOV, M4V, MPG, etc., but make sure that you import at least two and more MP4 files into the program for concatenating.
Click on "Merge" button on the top menu bar to open a new "Merge" window, where you can concatenate MP4 files in an arbitrary order. Press the middle "Merge" button to create a "Pack 1" in the below section. Also, you're allowed to create multiple packs to concatenate different MP4 video files. Next, drag and drop those video files from the top "Video List" section to each pack below. Within the pack, you can simply rearrange the video sequence. Once everything is all set, click "Merge" button to proceed.
Click on the format profile on the right side to expand the full list of 500+ presets. If you prefer the original MP4 format, just navigate to "Video" category and select "MP4" profile as the output video format. Similarly, you're able to select any video, audio, device profile as you wish.
Optionally, you're even allowed to modify video parameters by clicking on "Parameter settings" button underneath the format profile, such as change video resolution, bit rate, aspect ratio, frame rate, increase video volume, etc. After done, specify a destination folder to save the concatenated file on the bottom, lastly, hit "Run" button to concatenate video files together.
I personally don't suggest any online video joiner either because it requires a good network connection or it always has file size limit. Generally, it will spend a lot of time uploading, processing and downloading the video files. To make the work more efficient, a desktop application is highly recommended.
