Disable Subtitles VLC
Method 1 can only temporarily turn off subtitles. When you play the video again, VLC will automatically load the subtitles. The following method let VLC disable subtitles by default.
Step 1. How to turn off subtitles on VLC? To do that, firstly, run VLC and click Tool > Preferences on the menu bar.
Step 2. Click on All to show all settings in the lower left corner.
Step 3. Click Input / Codecs on the left, find the Subtitle track ID on the right, and change -1 to 0.
Step 4. Click Save to save your settings.
